Pump Engineering

Blood Pump Technology

Core pumping technology that generates controlled blood flow - the engineering foundation that other extracorporeal systems are built upon.

Overview

Understanding the technology

Blood pump technology is the engine of an extracorporeal system. A centrifugal pump generates the flow that moves blood through the circuit, and its behaviour shapes the performance of everything downstream.

We treat the pump as a precision engineering problem: motor and drive, rotor geometry, fluid dynamics and control working together so that flow is generated in a controlled, repeatable and dependable way.
